NEW BLOG
So now that Wyatt is ONE it's probably time to move on from the 'jenandbryarehavingababy' baby blog. We have simply shortened our new page to 'wyattmorrison' so please check it out at http://wyattmorrison.blogspot.com/. Of course there will still be lots of posts and pictures of Wyatt doing silly things at the new site, maybe just not updated every month. Even though Wyatt is now technically '13 months' I just tell people that he is 'One'... it seems easier than counting months. I don't know when most poeple abandon the month age for the year age, but I'd like to do it sooner than later. It feel that the simple math when telling people his age in months is ackward for me. It's like military time...you have to subtract 12, which I realize is not difficult, but sometimes it still throws me off... and I am a self proclaimed math fan (?), strange but true...
Happy Birthday Wyatt!!
I hope these birthday party photos are better late than never. Thank you to everyone who came to the party. We felt so blessed to have so many friends, family, and nieghbors come by to wish Wyatt a happy first birthday. Wyatt had a great time and was a such good boy all day for the big party.

Bad Bloggers
So sorry for the nearly 2 month gap in blog updates! We got really busy around Wyatt's first birthday. Prior to the big one year milestone he had not been feeling so well and was plagued with ear infections, so shortly after his birthday he ended up getting tubes put in his ears. So far so good and he has been feeling good and infection free since. We also survived a bathroom remodel, which desperately needed to be done, and Mommy had to be shipped off on a work trip... so things stacked up and blogging fell to the bottom of the priority list. But we're back - and have lots of photos to share! Starting with the most recent, Halloween, Wyatt was the cutest little Sherriff ever ;) -
It was impossible to keep the hat on:

Wyatt at 11 months
Well hello there my faithful fans! Can you believe that I am 11 months old!? One year ago Mommy and Daddy were all smiles and excitement with a baby on the way... they had no clue what they were in for! I have taken over their lives completely and these days I have them chasing me around the house and laughing at all of my silliness. This is my serious face:

Here I am playing with a basket, I so love to open and close things... especially when naked:
Mommy says I have the cutest tush ever... I tend to agree:

Although I am not walking yet (I'm in no rush) I have been practicing some fun skills that go above and beyound crawling, like climbing stairs:
standing with stuff in my hands:
and modeling :) ... Here are so fun shots we took outside our house one day when the weather was really nice. Mommy knew she could set me in the grass and I would'nt go anywhere due to my adversion to crawling on non-carpeted surfaces. It made me a perfect photography subject. That's all from me for now. Hope everyone one is doing well and looking forward to seeing you at my Birthday party next month!

Wyatt at 10 months
This past month we traveled to Minnesota to visit family and friends and had such a great time (see pics from the trip in post below) During the week long trip Wyatt sprouted 3 new teeth! This brought him to a total of 7 teeth by the time we got home, then another one popped up just last week, so our little monster has 8 teeth. He is getting better at using those teeth, tearing into toast and crackers, and has also been enjoying bites of whatever we are eating for breakfast lunch and dinner, including chicken, beans, cheese, broccoli, pasta, etc. So far he likes all the 'real' food much better than any of the baby food we have ever offered him. Maybe with the exception of Gerber puffs and cheese crunchies, those are still a huge hit. Wyatt is still keeping us very busy with crawling around and standing, and now he loves to crawl up the stairs, supervised of course. He is also doing a lot of mimicking - clicking his tounge when we do, clapping when we clap, he even points and says 'da' at the dogs. He says 'da' at a lot of things right now, it sounds all the same to us but I'm sure each 'da' whens something very specific and important to him. We are all excited for the heat of August to move along, we have been going to the pool to keep cool, but are looking forward to the fall so we can get out for longer walks again. Here are some fun pictures for the past few weeks:Making a mess in the bathroom... little stinker!

Minnesota Trip
We spent a week in Minnesota this summer - first we visited Jen's family in the Minneapolis area and then headed north to Ingrid's lake house to visit her and her son Jasem (4) and Monica and her son Max (21 months) No time to caption all of these photos now, maybe later...
